Christians Huh? Christ Like?

I always thought of Christianity, as the teachings of Jesus, and how he was. What would Jesus do? That is the question we were supposed to ask, when confronted with a complex situation. I thought Christianity was about feeding the poor and sheltering those in need. I had always thought it was based on love. I always thought this is what religion should be.

I thought religion would speak out against evil, and empire.
I thought religion would never let children starve or be bombarded from above by terrorist warplanes, bombing defenseless civilians.
I thought religion would speak out against immigration, and all forms of oppression.

I would have thought religion would speak out against racism, and homophobia, and any of God’s children being treated unfairly. Now I just feel as if I have been misled. It seems it has been twisted and is now an intrument of white supremacy and empire. These are just my personal feelings, I do not mean to offend anyone, I just wish it could of been different. I wish the world was more fair, and I wish there were more heroes out there, that would speak out and fight injustice wherever they found it.
